Meeting location

The meeting is held within the compounds of the castle "Nový zámek" in Nové Hrady.

Deadline for applications and abstracts

Applications and abstracts have to be submitted by January 22th 2006.

Abstracts will be published in English in the journal of the Czech and Slovak Crystallographic Association "Materials Structure" and will be available during the registration.
Submission of an abstract is a condition for both oral and poster presentation at the "Discussions". The abstract should be delivered as a MS Word file, one to two pages of A4/letter format, font Times Roman size 12pt, it may include b&w figures.

Instead of an abstract, you can submit a full paper to the "Materials Structure" journal. Such a contribution has no size limit and will be a subject of the standard peer-review process.

Lectures will be given in English.

Poster dimensions are 90x120 cm.

Registration

The registration fee (if paid prior to March 13th 2006) totals to CZK 1620.00 for non-student participants and CZK 1020.00 for students.

This fee covers registration, one issue of the "Materials Structure" journal with abstracts, food (banquet on Thursday, full pension on Friday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday), and accommodation.

For purposes of bookkeeping, the fee can be divided as follows:
Non-students: registration CZK 500.00, accomodation CZK 700.00, food CZK 420.00
Students: registration CZK 0.00, accomodation CZK 600.00, food CZK 420.00

Payment can be cancelled until March 13th 2006 with cancellation fee of CZK 300. After this date the fee refund is not possible.

Cash payment at the registration booth is possible with an extra fee of CZK 300.

Accommodation

The accommodation facilities underwent major reconstruction and we believe that the quality of housing has increased. Single and double bed rooms are currently available. The "traditional" accommodation in the monastery will be preferentially offered to student participants.
In case of insufficient capacity, accommodation in local hotels and bed&breakfests will be offered.

Boarding

Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are served in the monastery, approximately 200 m from the Castle main building.

Transportation information

Buses go to Nové Hrady approximately every 2 hours. Please get off the bus at the station "Autobusové nádraí" Nové Hrady. The distance from the castle is about 150 m. Please do not get off at the station "V údolí".

Train connection is possible, however the distance from the railway station to Nové Hrady is approximately 5 kilometers.
