EDITORIAL NOTES It was in 1985 when the first Bulletin of Czechoslovak crystallographers appeared and then every year was distributed to about 400 members of the community of Czech and Slovak crystallographers and people interested in materials structure. We have decided now to change the format and name of the Bulletin which also caused, however, the publication delay.
The editors hope to publish more papers on structural studies of materials and related problems, in addition to news, reports and calendars of conferences. Review articles in this field as well as descriptions of non-traditional methods are particularly appreciated. Critical disscusions and contradictory opinions will not be avoided. All readers are encouraged to send their contributions, letters and opinions on the form and contents of the Bulletin and also proposals for the activities of the Crystallographic Association in future.
