* 1938, studied theoretical physics at the Charles University, Prague, (1957-1962). Working in the theory of solid state physics. Long term stays abroad: Great Brittain (1968-70), visiting professor in Munchen (1990), Vienna (1991). Co-author of a textbook on Quantum Theory (in Czech). Also an author of several original fiction books and many translations from English.
