Group of Magnetic Studies
The group is oriented on studies of various aspects of
electronic structure of metals, in particular on magnetic and
transport properties of lanthanides and actinides, on
magnetovolume phenomena, heavy fermions, and strongly correlated
systems in general. Its activity, which involves mainly
preparation of intermetallic compounds, various low-temperature
experimental techniques, and electronic structure calculations,
is oriented on fundamental research providing a basis for
development of future innovative technologies.
