The workshop should summarize main topics of modern crystallography as represented by the Special Interest Groups of European Crystallographic Association

Presentation of groups and their subjects

Active contributions at the workshop are only by invitation. There are no contributed talks. Invited speakers are members of the International Programme Committee of the 36th European Crystallographic Meeting in Prague.

Presentations during the workshop should be within 20 minutes including a short discussion. The talk should start with a characterization of the subject and possibly streams of the activity of the group (example SIG-3 – two basic streams: aperiodic crystals, modulated structures, or SIG8 – structure refinement from powder diffraction data, real structure study, in-situ studies of different types, SIG-15 - Symmetry in Art, analysis of paintings etc.). This should be followed by a few selected highlights achieved in the last years and closed by possible indication of future development. During the presentation or at the end proposed keynotes and microsymposia for the ECM-36 can be briefly commented.

On Monday, February 16 afternoon there is a public part of the meeting (13.00-19.15) - Prague Congress Center, Small Theatre, on Tuesday, February 17, closed IPC meeting is planned in Holiday Inn.
