The ESRF is a dynamic scientific research institute, a
collaboration of 16 countries. Our facility operates one of the brightest X-ray
sources in the world. It attracts several thousand scientists from university
labs, research institutes and industry who use this synchrotron light for
fundamental and applied research. Teams of scientists, engineers, and
technicians work permanently to achieve the best possible performance of the
source and the X-ray experimental stations using the most recent technologies in
the various disciplines involved.

The Experiments Division designs, constructs and runs
the ESRF beamlines. Within this division, the Chemistry Laboratory is now
seeking to recruit a:
Laboratory Technician in Chemistry (m/f)
THE
FUNCTION:
You
will assist the operation of the Chemistry Laboratory. The principal tasks
include general user support, maintenance of the laboratory equipment as well
as administrative work (stock management, orders).
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
You
should hold a university degree (BSc. or equivalent) or have an advanced
technical education (CTA, HND, BTS, DUT etc.) in chemistry. A practice-oriented background is appreciated, but a
beginner will also be considered. Organisation and communication skills are
necessary.
The
working language at the ESRF is English.
