Abstract
Pair Distribution Function (PDF) analysis has proven to be a powerful method for structural characterization of various types of materials, especially nano-sized and materials with low crystallinty. The measurements required for PDF are usually done at synchrotrons , using very short wavelength radiation.
The typical general purpose powder diffractometer has been equipped with a sealed tube with Ag anode (AgKα = 0.5609 Å) and required filters and accessories for a capillary transmission measurements. Various materials have been measured and PDF analysis performed on obtained data. An instrument configuration, obtained results and comparison with synchrotron data will be shown and discussed.
