Freedom and gender policyThe organizers of the school observes the basic policy of non-discrimination and affirms the right and freedom of scientists to associate in international scientific activity without regard to such factors as ethnic origin, religion, citizenship, language, political stance, gender, sex or age, in accordance with the Statutes of the International Council for Science. At this meeting no barriers will exist which would prevent the participation of bona fide scientists. Since this is a school in service of overall SAS community, we consider it our duty to promote overall balance of the student body with respect to gender and country of origin. Available support funds will be used to promote & advance gender balance as well as country/region balance. Support will be distributed to students based on their needs and with consideration of overall ablance of the student body with respect to gender and geographical location. |
